New Years Eve 2015 brought with it a fun filled spectacular. It was a wedding and New Year’s Eve that stood out to me for many reasons. The first was that the bride Tina and I planned the entire affair in a mere 8 months and for most of this planning time both the bride and groom were abroad. Secondly; hosting a wedding on New Year’s Eve allowed for not only a traditional wedding but a real show stopper after party that brought in the New Year.
Tina wanted to create two distinct looks. The ceremony and dinner reception featured blush tones and a vintage look that was both elegant and romantic. The transition between the early reception and the after party was the cake cutting ceremony under the spectacular canopy. The guests surrounded Tina and Craig with sparklers for this magical moment. Now it was time for the grand reveal; the after party that was glitzy and bold featured gold and black sequins, confetti cannons, balloons and a huge LED wall with a live feed straight from New York of the iconic Ball Drop. Food stations featured a full size British open top red bus to honor the groom that served fish and chips and an Italian themed Boars Head sandwich bar to honor Tina’s father. It was a truly memorable night that I know was enjoyed by all. I asked Tina to share some photos and thoughts on her truly magnificent wedding.

You selected 12/31/2015 for your wedding what did you like most about having your wedding on NYE?
I loved that I could have an elegant black tie wedding followed by a huge New Year’s party for everyone to let loose and have a good time!
Story behind the shoes:
I needed my something blue for the wedding, so I decided to have Craig write something special to him in blue ink on the bottom of my shoe. Craig is a man of few words, but those few words meant the world to me!
Story behind the toy car:
I was looking on Etsy for something personalized for the ring bearer’s and came across these little personalized Shelby Cobra’s made in England. I decided to get each of the kid’s one because Craig’s favorite car is a Shelby Cobra, and what better it’s made in England where he’s from! Since I am unable to purchase a real one for him, I thought it would be cute to get him a toy replica!
Your wedding décor and theme is breathtaking what was your inspiration?
It all started from Pintrest! I found an amazing picture of a vintage trellis with all sorts of pink and white flowers and a crystal chandelier. I then became inspired to research more into vintage themed weddings, where I just let my mind run free. The vintage elegance that Daniel Events created for my wedding was truly something from a fairytale!
